Full-arch implant-supported prosthetic restoration

Terms that are not interchangeable

The number of implants and the type of prosthetic construction describe different aspects.

All-on-4 and All-on-6 primarily indicate rehabilitation on four or six implants. Toronto and Thimble describe prosthetic design variants selected according to the case plan.

04

All-on-4

A fixed full-arch prosthetic restoration supported by four implants and produced from the clinical and prosthetic data provided.

06

All-on-6

A fixed rehabilitation supported by six implants, with a design adapted to implant distribution and available space.

T

Toronto

A fixed implant-supported restoration on a screw-retained substructure, replacing the teeth and, when indicated, the gingival volume.

TH

Thimble

A full-arch construction with a framework and individual crowns, designed for modular access to the components.

Components for implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitations

Required information

Complete documentation reduces the risk of incompatibility.

  • implant system and platforms;
  • implant positions and component types;
  • scan body or implant impression;
  • intermaxillary relationship and prosthetic space;
  • smile line and aesthetic information;
  • retention type and requested materials;
  • agreed provisional and definitive stages.

The laboratory’s role

Prosthetic production in direct collaboration with the dentist.

Technical assessment

We review the data received and flag any uncertainties before design begins.

Prosthetic design

The configuration is adapted to the available space, material and submitted plan.

Compatibility

Platforms and components are confirmed for each case.

Stage-by-stage communication

Stages and approvals are agreed with the dentist responsible for the case.

Frequently asked questions

Clarifications on full-arch rehabilitations.

Are All-on-4 and Toronto the same thing?

No. All-on-4 describes a four-implant configuration, while Toronto describes a type of prosthetic construction.

Are Thimble and Toronto synonymous?
